Description: A notably human frustration is being realized on a cosmic scale. Ralph Toporoff is the creator behind The Blue Marble, a 13-part series that will follow the saga of a soul whose trip to his rightful planet is held up by intergalactic red tape.
The central figure in The Blue Marble is Charlie, who is stuck in a bureaucratic nightmare that takes place with a cosmic waiting room. Due to a clerical error, Charlie’s soul has been assigned to the wrong planet, but owing to the universe’s arcane rules and confusing regulations, our hero remains stuck in his personal limbo. As the series goes on, viewers will also meet other souls who are waiting in line alongside Charlie.
As Toporoff and his associates explain in their pitch video, The Blue Marble will not be made unless the Indiegogo campaign reaches its goal. Should the requisite funds be raised, production will commence on a 13-episode satire.
Creator Bio: Toporoff is perhaps best known as the director of the feature film American Blue Note. He is an adjunct professor at New York’s School of Visual Arts

Why You Should Fund It: Toporoff’s idea is a new one, and he seems confident that his high-concept plot will translate into a well-grounded satire. We hope that The Blue Marble is able to realize its lofty ambitions, but we’re at least confident that it can be a nice distraction to watch while you’re stuck in line at the DMV.
