Rooster Teeth Makes Bid For European Expansion With New London HQ

Rooster Teeth is heading across the pond with a brand new London headquarters, as the Austin-based digital media empire looks to sign new British talent and launch local ventures for its U.K. and European fans.

Rooster Teeth has tapped Eric Cherry to serve as head of the London offices, where he will be tasked with expanding the Rooster Teeth brand internationally, including the U.K. edition of its gaming and internet conference RTX London. Cherry will also oversee local programming, licensing, consumer products, and work to grow its premium subscription service First, Variety reports. For the past six years, Cherry has served as CEO of Hanabee Entertainment — the official licensor and distributor of Rooster Teeth merch in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the producer of several RTX live events abroad.

“Building communities is a goal and we’ve done a good job in the U.K. but know we could do more,” Rooster Teeth co-founder and CEO Matt Hullum told Variety. “The talent and community piece in the U.K. has been underserved and we wanted to correct that.”
