Top 50 Most Viewed U.S. YouTube Channels • Week Of 10/23/15

It’s another installment of the weekly Tubefilter Chart of the Top 50 Most Viewed U.S. YouTube Channels and one of America’s most popular entertainment entities remained in the top spot.

Chart Toppers

WWE is still not letting go of its U.S. YouTube title belt. The online video repository of clips and highlights from World Wrestling Entertainment events maintained its hold on the #1 spot on the chart this week, netting nearly 95.9 million views. In a distant second is FunToyzCollector (aka the channel previously known as DisneyCollectorBR). The anonymous channel featuring a pair of adult hands playing with playing with children’s toys was down 1% on the week to end it with more than 86.1 million views.

Up next in the #3 spot is Taylor Swift. The pop star’s YouTube viewership stayed almost constant this week as her channel received more than 82.2 million views. In fourth place is BuzzFeedVideo. The main YouTube destination of the popular social website full of animated GIFs, irreverent quizzes, listicles, and actual news ended the week down 2% and just over of 81.9 million views.

And rounding out the Top 5 is The Ellen Show. The YouTube home of Ellen DeGeneres’ eponymous daytime talk show was up 69% in views on the week to top out at more than 81.9 million of them.

Top Gainers

The honor of one of our Top Gainers in the U.S. this week goes to Star Wars.

The final trailer for the next installment of the Star Wars franchise hit the internet on October 19, 2015. Unsurprisingly, the web (and the actors in the movie) went wild and watched the two-minute-and-35-second video a collective tens of millions of times. That one upload helped the Star Wars YouTube channel to a 1,773% week-over-week increase in views, almost 34.2 million views on the week and the #33 spot on the U.S. chart.

The top 50 most viewed U.S. YouTube channels this week amassed a total of 2,215,850,887 views. Here’s the distribution of a few of those channels by multi-channel network:

VEVO: 18 channels in the U.S. Top 50, with Taylor Swift the highest-ranked channel of the network at #3.
Maker Studios: 4 channels in the Top 50, with DisneyCarToys at #9.
BuzzFeed, Fullscreen, MovieClips, OhMyGenius: 2 channels each in the Top 50, with BuzzFeed’s BuzzFeed Video at #4, Fullscreen’s FamilyFunPack at #7, Movieclips’ Movieclips Trailers at #23, and OhMyGenius’ Kids Channel at #36.
