Following former SVP of talent John Carle’s move to influencer marketing network BEN, Studio71 has named longtime execs Joe Hodorowicz and Joseph Marchese its new co-heads of talent.
Hodorowicz has been with the company for six years, and has served as a talent liaison and producer on original content, branded campaigns, and business development initiatives involving YouTube creators and channels within Studio71 U.S.’s network — like WorldStarHipHop (22.4 million subscribers), Alex Wassabi (11.5M), and ExplosmEntertainment (10M). Prior to joining Studio71, he worked at William Morris Endeavor and then Ridley Scott Associates.
Marchese, who’s been with Studio71 for five years, has been instrumental in expanding its channel management roster. Per Studio71, he’s personally responsible for bringing in a number of popular creators, including Jacksepticeye (23M), Ali-A (16.4M), Troom Troom (16.2M), Tal Fishman/Reaction Time (14.3M), FGTeeV (12.6M), and Michelle Khare (1.72M) — who collectively net nearly 10 billion views per month.

In their new positions, the duo will oversee Studio71’s entire talent roster “with the goal of helping creators grow and diversify their businesses through thoughtful and strategic internal and external parnerships,” the company said in a statement. Hodorowicz and Marchese intend to focus on hooking network creators up with Studio71’s scripted and unscripted, podcast, distribution, and gaming divisions to produce YouTube content as well as cross-platform content like Facebook and Snapchat series. (While Studio71 U.K. has a recently established 360-degree management division, Moxie, Studio71 U.S. primarily focuses on channel management.)
“Joe and Joseph have been fundamental in building Studio71’s talent roster into what it is today,” Dan Weinstein, Studio71’s cofounder and president, said in a statement. “Their commitment to providing Studio71 creators with best-in-class opportunities, expertise, and guidance and expand, monetize, and create their businesses sets them apart from their contemporaries, further establishing the Studio71 talent team as a major cornerstone of the company and the industry as a whole.”
Hodorowicz and Marchese will continue to work out of Studio71’s headquarters in Los Angeles, and will report directly to Weinstein.
